June 7:
My last day in Thailand I spent with three other girls I met
and we went to the Giant Buddha and Monkey Hill. When arriving to Monkey Hill,
there was a woman set up with bananas and corn to feed the monkeys- obviously a
tourist trap, but I had to feed them. The monkeys were extremely comfortable
with people and would come right up to me for food. Although I didn’t harm the
monkeys in any way, I can see how easily it is for them to get harmed. First, we
were located right by a parking lot and road. Next, if the monkeys got
aggressive the woman working at the stand had a fake alligator toy to scare
them and fight them off. Overall, this was an awesome experience.
